Thank you for your interest in our cover competition in aid of Flying Start, British Airways plc's ("BA") charity collaboration with Comic Relief. Please read the following terms and conditions which set out the rules by which the competition is run.
By entering the competition, you acknowledge that you agree to the Terms and Conditions, which are set out below.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS ('the Agreement')
1. Definitions and Organisations involved
1.1 This competition is being administered by Cedar Communications Limited (registered number 02709621) whose registered address is 239 Old Marylebone Road, London NW1 5QT ("Cedar"). The competition is run by Cedar on behalf of British Airways Plc (registered number 01777777) whose registered address is Waterside, PO Box 365, Harmondsworth, West Drayton, UB7 OGB which is trading as Business Life for the purposes of this auction. Cedar and BA shall together in these terms and conditions be referred to as ("Business Life"). Promoter: Cedar Communications Ltd.
1.2 Business Life is providing the online competition to raise money for Comic Relief registered charity 326568 (England and Wales) and SC039730 (Scotland)
1.3 In providing this competition Business Life is not acting in the course of its normal business. The gross proceeds of the competition conducted on this Site as received by Business Life will be donated to Flying Start save for 4% of the entire gross proceeds which will be paid to Paypal.
2 The competition is governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
Eligibility
3.1 Only residents of England Scotland and Wales and Northern Ireland aged 18 or over are eligible to enter, save for employees of Business Life or British Airways and their immediate families, their agents, or anyone professionally associated with this promotion, who will not be eligible.
3.2 In order to enter this competition, you should first pay the entry fee of £10 at babusinesslife.com (4% of the entry fee shall be paid to PayPal to cover the administration fees). You should submit your entry stating why you should appear on the front cover of Business Life in no more than 80 words.
3.3 By entering the competition you are confirming acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Competition entry
4.1 The competition will end at 23.59 GMT on 11 April, 2011. Any entries received by Business Life after this time will not count as eligible.
4.2 No responsibility is accepted for lost, damaged or delayed entries as a result of any network, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.
4.3 No bulk, third party or organised group entries will be accepted.
4.4 Incomplete, illegible, photocopied or corrupt entries or those not made in accordance with entry instructions will not be accepted.
4.5 All entries submitted will become the property of Business Life (including all intellectual property rights in the entry) and will not be returned.
Prize
5.1 The prize is a chance to be photographed by the photographer nominated by Business Life on the date and at the location specified by Business Life. Business Life will select one of the images of you to be published on the cover of the August 2011 edition of Business Life or such other edition as may be nominated by Business Life in its absolute discretion.
5.2 No cash alternative to the prize will be offered, and it may not be exchanged or transferred.
5.3 The prize does not include travel to the studio, meals, accommodation or other incidental expenses.
5.4 The winner must agree to make him/herself available for a period of one day as specified by the editor of Business Life in order to take part in the cover shoot. The styling of the shoot, including clothes, hair and make-up, will be at the discretion of Business Life.
5.5 No responsibility will be accepted for any loss or damage to personal items which occurs during the shoot.
Judging
6.1 The competition entries will be judged by a panel of judges, one of whom will be an independent third party.
6.2 The winner will be the person who in the opinion of the judging panel best satisfies the criteria as set out in the magazine.
6.3 The decision made by the judging panel is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
6.4 The winner will be notified by telephone or email by 20 April, 2011 and given the details of the shoot.
6.5 The name and location of the winner will be available on babusinesslife.com between 21 April, 2011 and 30 May, 2011.
6.6 If you are selected as the winner, you agree that you will participate in any promotional activity reasonably specified by Business Life and that all intellectual property rights in any images or other materials produced shall remain with Business Life.
7. Liability
7.1 Business Life endeavours to ensure that the information and other material on this website is correct and complete, but does not accept liability for any errors in or omissions from the website or the description of the prize provided in the magazine. Business Life does not accept any liability for the entry fee webform, use of which is at your sole option and risk.
7.2 Business Life shall not be liable for any claims or losses of any nature arising directly or indirectly from any inability by you to access the website for any reason, including, but not limited to technical difficulties experienced by Business Life, or the Internet provider Business Life makes no warranty that the website will meet your requirements, or that it will be timely, secure or error free although it will use all reasonable endeavours to ensure the security of the site.
7.3 Business Life shall not in any circumstances be liable in contract or tort for any indirect or consequential loss, howsoever caused or arising in connection with this Agreement or your use of this website, or the prize.
7.4 Business Life assumes no responsibility for the contents of any other websites to which this website has links. As such, Business Life shall not be held responsible or liable for any loss or damages caused or alleged to have been caused by use of or reliance on any content, goods or services available on such hyperlinked sites. The inclusion of any hyperlinks to such other websites does not mean that Business Life endorses the material on these websites or has any association with the owner thereof.
