Business is the new rock and roll
According to a survey conducted by the Careers Advice Service, it appears business really is the new rock and roll — for boys at any rate. Asked to name their dream job, businessman/entrepreneur was cited by eight per cent of boys, beating pop star by one per cent. Girls, on the other hand, would still prefer to be Britney rather than Deborah Meaden, with six per cent saying business and ten per cent pop star.
Overall for the boys businessman/entrepreneur was in second place, beaten only by footballer with 18 per cent (although the distinction between modern footballer and entrepreneurial businessman seems rather blurred these days). And good news for British Airways is that six per cent want to be pilots.
So forget about the electric guitar for little Johnny this Christmas and get him a subscription to
Business Life instead.
