Peter Czapp: Shaking up accountancy

Peter Czapp is a man with a mission, and a pretty ambitious mission at that – to make accountants seem cool. He's a co-founder of The Wow Company, one of the new breed of accountancy practices that are using modern technology to revolutionise the profession. "I can access every single one of my clients' accounts with two clicks on my iPhone," says Peter, 32. "Accountants used to stick their brass plaques up on the high street and whoever had the shiniest one would end up with the most clients. But today the world has changed. People don't want to travel for an hour and then sit in an office making small talk." The Wow Company is based in Andover, but it could be based anywhere, utilising email and Skype to stay in touch with its customers. Its focus is on small businesses in the UK with turnover of up to £2m. Its aim? "To help our clients make more profit, pay less tax and have more fun along the way."
